Use this page to configure Sumsub so your verification flow matches BFinance requirements and reduces mismatches in outcomes.
If your Sumsub settings are stricter or materially different from BFinance settings, you can see outcome mismatches (for example, your flow passes but BFinance declines).

Global settings

Use a 2-step flow:
  • Identity document
  • Selfie
Block the following countries:
  • Afghanistan
  • Belarus
  • Cuba
  • Iran
  • North Korea
  • Russia
  • Sudan
  • Syria
  • Venezuela
  • United Kingdom
  • United States
If you provide services in the United States or the United Kingdom, we can allow these countries for your program. Contact your account manager.
Set the allowed age range to 18–90 years old.

Identity document (POI)

Accept all available identity documents:
  • Passport
  • National ID card
  • Driver’s license
  • Residence permit
Recommended settings:
  • Expiry: Accept valid and officially extended documents
    (you may still choose to reject extended documents in your own policy)
  • Minimum residual validity: 2 months
  • Capture method: live capture
  • Capture mode: manual and auto capture enabled
  • Fallback to file upload: not available

Selfie (liveness)

Use Advanced liveness check.

Proof of address (POA)

  • PO Box addresses: accept exceptions only
  • Accept business address: no
  • Reject due to POI/POA country mismatch: no
  • Multiple pages: yes
  • Allow screenshots: no
  • POI documents as POA: accept identity documents as proof of address
  • Same documents across POI + POA steps: yes
  • Accepted languages: all languages
Recommended settings:
  • Issuer types: Government organization, Utility provider, Bank, Mobile operator, Other
  • Neobank documents: accept any neobank
  • Document validity window: 3 months

AML screening

Use Default (or Fuzzy).
Avoid “Exact match” or “Strict” if your goal is to align outcomes with BFinance. Stricter matching can create mismatches where you approve but BFinance declines.
